Arvester receives new support from the CNC
The CNC’s AMT Committee has awarded Arvester a grant for its new metadata management project.
As part of this scheme, we submitted a project aimed at building a metadata identification, collection, and aggregation system to better qualify audiovisual works available online. Composed of industry professionals, the panel once again validated the relevance of our approach by awarding us its backing, against a backdrop of highly selective competition.
To address the inaccuracies of the metadata currently used by the industry and meet regulators' reliability standards, we are developing an innovative solution combining visual AI, natural language processing, and multi-source analysis. This tool will make it possible to accurately identify and qualify all VOD content—ranging from films and series to sports streams, concerts, and video games—which had until now remained blind spots in the data pertaining to catalogues.
Two years ago, an initial grant from the CNC enabled us to develop an AI-powered system to identify thumbnails on VOD service interfaces. This project has allowed us to significantly expand our scope of analysis to all major VOD services available in France, as well as the interfaces of French broadcasters (Arte, Canal+, France Télévisions, TF1+, and M6+), with commercialisation of the data planned for this autumn.
